i got those middle-of-the-day-sittin-at-home-procrastinatin' blooz

I would say that the King Kong trailer is definitely worth taking a look. If there was any question as to how Peter Jackson would fair post-LOTR, I think this movie will answer. He seems to have an excellent grasp of the style of cinema, and it looks like he's going to be very true to the original, while taking a lot of necessary liberties. Anyway, I'm excited.

While we're talking film, I don't understand Gus Van Sant. Before you start to take my criticism too seriously you should know that I have only seen Elephant, but I absolutely HATED it. Today I watched a trailer for Last Days which looks to be a melodramatic Kurt Cobain story without the Kurt Cobain. I don't know what his two films were like before Elephant, but Van Sant seems to take stories that have already happened and simply invoke his artistic license. Anyway, I'm not impressed. Maybe I'm just still reeling from Elephant.

The Baxter and The Beat That My Heart Skipped both look interesting as well.

Lots of people are talking Harry Potter. If there is anybody who has finished it, and doesn't already have three or four people begging them to borrow it, I would certainly like to read it. I understand if you're not excited about lending out your copy. Just lemme know.

This past weekend was pretty great.

I've been following the video diaries of King Kong on this website for months. They're really cool.

i gave you your chance to borrow th ebook man.

anyways. on those two movies. you know i dont like stella and probably think that i am stupid for it. i think it looks okay. the absenseof david whatever makes me happy even though i am sure he helped write it because they are inseperable. i actually woul dguess that when michael showalter did signs that michael ian black and david whatever were there like cheering him on all the way! anyways i will say that it looks good because i like michelle williams a lot. i think michael showalter is a great bumbling idiot but in this it seems strikingly annoying and well the movie will probably be okay. you know when he gets together with michelle williams and his wife gets her ex husband.

the second movie i started out hating the preview a bit too manipulative for me. i know you may say may may may that thats the point to get you to want to se eit or something. but then i said wow i really hate this once the real music started but then by the end of it i really like dit it didnt seem like it was as serious as they were trying to make it out in the beginning and that made me enjoy it a bit more. i am sure i will see both as time goes by.
